About the Author
Carlene Carson's life adventure began when she left the South for the distant shores of Hawaii. From there, she backpacked through Europe and explored the magical realms of Asia, in between raising a family and creating two businesses, vacation rentals management, and home design.
Since childhood, she has been captivated by the art of storytelling and history––stories of people who overcame numerous hurdles to achieve their dreams. They inspire and fascinate her, as do tales of those who journey to distant lands. Her passion for research into the emotions and experiences of such individuals drives her curiosity and creativity, which lead her toward fascinating narratives.
One of the things she loves about her travels is enjoying the different cuisines of the region and recreating them when she returns home and writing about them.
This is her debut novel. As she wrote, she realized writing was similar to constructing a home.
